Mr. Purcell has over 25 years of experience in commercial finance and managing dynamic businesses. Prior to joining Advantage Business Capital, he was a partner of Aequitas Capital Management, a local private equity firm. Until 2005, Mr. Purcell was President and Chief Executive Officer of U.S. Bancorp Equipment Finance, one of the largest bank-affiliated equipment finance companies in the nation and a major funding source in nearly every industry sector. In this position, he directed all operations of this stand alone leasing company with five divisions, 30,000 contracts, and 375 employees, managing more than $4 billion in assets and $1 billion in new business volume. Prior to joining U.S. Bancorp Equipment Finance, Mr. Purcell was Executive Vice President for Machine Tool Finance Corporation, a firm that financed metal cutting, fabrication and plastics equipment. U.S. Bancorp acquired the business in 1990, and Mr. Purcell was promoted to Group President in 1993 where he led the division through 2001.
